Writing

Not much has changed about how I feel about writing since the beginning of the semester.  I still don’t like it.  I don’t think I ever will.  It’s too much trouble and has to be just right to get a good grade.  It’s not worth it.

I’m not sure what we are supposed to blog about this week.  Somebody said Thanksgiving, so I’ll go with that.  I like thanksgiving because my family just gets together and eats all day. It’s great.

Baseball is a game that people can enjoy whether playing it or watching it.  Baseball has been a personal passion of mine all my life.

Stressed Out

I haven’t really dealt with any stress like that.  Usually I am just counting days until its over.  But as a general rule, I tend to put things off till the last minute. That all seems to catch up with me around big tests like exams.  lots of long nights cramming and plenty of coke and chocolate can fix that though. But you really can only study so much in my opinion. Sometimes you just gotta stop and take a break.  Lots of breaks.

What I did on Halloween

I didn’t do anything for Halloween.  I had to work, and then I watched some football games.

Ghost Story

I only know of one “ghost” that someone I know has seen.  A friend that I go to church with says that there is a ghost on their property.  They live on a farm and say that there is a ghost, which they call Harvey.  I don’t know the whole story, but I know several people who say they’ve seen it.  The guy who actually owns the place says he’s been choked by it.  He said he woke up one night and it was holding him down where he couldn’t move.  He started praying and said it let him go.  I don’t usually believe in ghosts, but they really believe he exists. And after talking to them, I was halfway convinced, but I’d still have to see it to truly believe.

Superhero Power

If I could have a superhero power I believe I would want to be invisible. Just think what you would be able to find out if you were invisible.  You could find out what people really say about you( although that may not be a good thing).  You could play jokes on unsuspecting friends  or someone who made you mad.

Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize

What?! Are you kidding me.  When I first heard this news my reaction was disbelief.  Why is the President of the United States even being considered for a Nobel Prize.  Ever since the election, its just been a popularity contest that Obama’s trying to win.  Oh, by the way, did you hear Obama’s up for the Heisman?  I mean come on the guy did a commercial with George Lopez for his new show.  Can’t the president find something better to do with his time, like oh yeah be the President of the United States.  Run the country. Thats what he’s paid to, not compete in a popularity contest.  Good choice voters.

Funniest thing thats happened to me

I don’t know what the funniest thing thats happened to me is, but this what I thought of when I thought about it.  One night my mom decided to let me fix supper because she wasn’t home. Well, she wanted spagetti.  As I started to fix it, I had to call her to get instructions on what to do.  I had never helped cook before so this would be interesting.  First of all you have to boil the noodles. Well, you have to break them to get in the pot. So, not thinking I just broke them, unfortunately they went all over the kitchen in little pieces.  After cleaning up that mess, I moved on to cooking the meat.  I went to turn on the stove, but I turned the knob to far and let gas leak into the house. About this time my mom got home. She smelled the gas and said not to lite anything for a while.  So I waited till it was safe and continued cooking.  As I was stirring the meat, the oven mit I was wearing caught on fire from the stove. I threw it on the floor and stomped it out.  At this point,I didn’t think anything else could go wrong.  But after all this I burnt the bread, the perfect ending to a disasterous cooking experience. Needless to say, I don’t do much cooking around our house anymore.

I went through and looked at all these errors,and guess what I’m guilty of most of them. I guess thats why they’re the 20 most common.  I learned how to fix them, but when I write something it sounds really good to me so I don’t catch alot of the errors.
